Emery Waterhouse is looking for a Merchandise Manager with Hand & Power Tools product knowledge who will be responsible for overseeing vendor programs and product assortments, to include all pricing and promotions, that result in an outstanding selection of products, competitive prices and a high-level of service, quality and customer care. Must develop strong relationships with customers and vendors while increasing sales and profits.

• Strong merchandising background with proven experience in developing compelling business strategies to grow sales & profits.
• Superb business acumen, strong interpersonal skills and outstanding negotiation skills.
• Bachelor's degree combined with at least 5 years of experience and Hand & Power Tools product knowledge is required for this position.
• Retail experience is preferred.

• Develop a category strategy to successfully grow sales and profits.

• Provide competitive prices everyday and on promotion.
• Analyze competition for pricing, product selection, promotional offerings, and competitive advantages and disadvantages.
• Responsible for financial budgeting, analysis, and profitability of product categories.
• Responsible for Department/Category Management including merchandising strategies, competitive product offerings, market trend awareness, and customized business solutions.
• Execute promotional calendar that creates buying and placement opportunities to enhance dealer, vendor, and Company sales and margins.
• Plan annual shows to increase market position with vendors and dealers and to create opportunities to build new dealer relationships and enhance existing ones.
• Conducts annual vendor marketing meetings to formulate sales growth plans, negotiate programs, and collect marketing support funds for the upcoming year.
• Develops strong partnerships with customers and outside sales force to identify opportunities to build retail sales and market share.

Delivering product from our warehouse to our customers as well as grocery runs in a safe, accurate and efficient manner. Overnights may be required for some routes. All drivers are responsible for keeping a precise driver’s log.

The major goal for a selector is the ability to accurately read the Radio Frequency scanning system, proceed to the correct location of the warehouse and hand select the appropriate amount and type of product from the warehouse shelves. The selector will then place items into cardboard boxes or plastic totes and deliver to the pack area for labeling and re-packing for shipments to the customer.

Shift starts at 7am- until the work is complete four days per week Monday-Thursday. A selector will need the ability and willingness to work long days as required based on seasonal business demands. Schedules subject to change during holiday weeks.
