Selector
Job Overview
The major goal for a selector is the ability to accurately read the Radio Frequency scanning system,
proceed to the correct location of the warehouse and hand select the appropriate amount and type
of product from the warehouse shelves. The selector will then place items into cardboard boxes or
plastic totes and deliver to the pack area for labeling and re-packing for shipments to the customer.
Shift and hours
Shift starts at 7am- until the work is complete four days per week Monday-Thursday.
A selector will need the ability and willingness to work long days as required based
on seasonal business demands. Schedules subject to change during holiday weeks.
Skill Requirements:
- Basic math skills.
- Read to successfully achieve the desired job goals.
- Multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability and willingness to operate motorized industrial equipment.
- Maintain quality and productivity levels, good attendance and work safe.
- The ability to follow direction.
- Attention to detail.
- Any additional duties and requirements as assigned to meet the business needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking Brisk paced, with continual starting and stopping.
- Lifting Minimum of 50 lbs. mezzanine area up to 75 lbs. bulk area
- Bending Frequent through the day
- Squatting/Kneeling Continual, with and without weighted objects
- Endurance Able to work in a fast pace environment
- Grasping Constantly all day with objects of various weight and shapes
- Pinching Constantly all day
Dress Appearance:
Emery-Waterhouse requests employees wear sensible garments, which will not impede movement.
Totally enclosed practical footwear that gives support and traction on concrete and tile surfaces
is a must. Employees should not wear jewelry as this may impede or create a safety issue in the
performance of the job.
