Emery-Waterhouse Launches Operations in Mid-Atlantic Region with Emery Building Materials Division

PORTLAND, Maine — June 23, 2008 — Emery-Waterhouse, a leading distributor of hardware and building materials, today announced its Emery Building Materials division began operations at its new distribution center in Northeast Pennsylvania. Last year the company expanded its building materials product line and established its presence in the Mid-Atlantic region with the acquisition of The Morgan Distribution Co., a specialty distributor in the building supply business. Emery's newly leased distribution center is located within the CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park at 285 CenterPoint Blvd. in Pittston, Pa.

The new facility will enable Emery to deliver product faster to its Mid-Atlantic customers and beyond through greater access to five major interstates within a two-hour drive of New York City and Philadelphia. Additionally, with the acquisition, Emery expanded its building materials product offering to include the Stallion Fastener line, and additional exterior and bulk home building products.

At the distribution center, Emery is employing a total distribution technology solution with unique systems for inventory and warehouse management. Overall, the new location and implementation of state-of-the-art technology will create a more efficient, accurate shipping operation for Emery's customers.

In September 2008, Emery Building Materials is planning an open house and promotional event at the new facility in Pennsylvania with its customers and key suppliers.
